The Westmoreland Fayette Council will be hosting a Red Cross Wilderness & Remote First Aid course at Buck Run on the Eberly Scout Reservation.
Cost of the course is $75.00. This covers food and certification. contact the Council Office for more details and to register.

The Westmoreland Fayette Council High Adventure Committee would like to invite all
Scouts and Scouter to attend a first-time event entitled Backpacking 101. The purpose of
this training will be to introduce you to backpacking and cover topics that include: Types
of packs, stoves, sleeping bags, what items are a must have to backpack and what items
would be nice.
All participants are encouraged to bring their backpack packed with the items they think
they would need to go on a backpacking trip because there will be time to discuss and
review as well as go on a mini hike.
There will also be a short presentation on the Laurel Hiking Trail as well as BSA’s Philmont
High Adventure Base.
Although there is no cost for this course we need everyone to register by Wednesday, March 28, 2018 so we can be prepared. Please fill out the reservation form HERE and submit to the Westmoreland Fayette Council Office.

This months camp theme is Games. We will be working on the Chess Merit Badge as well as Games Design.
Saturday afternoon, we will take a field trip over to the Kickback Pinball Cafe in Lawrenceville to see some classic electro-mechanical games (pinball) in action. Plan to bring $5-$10 if you plan on playing any of the games.Permission Slip 2018-03-16 Games Camp
Please download, fill out and return a permission slip and bring it with you on Friday night.
The Troop will assemble at 6:45 pm, in the back parking lot of Hills Church to load troop and personal equipment.
The troop will return Sunday morning around 10:30 am to the back parking lot of Hills Church. Boys will be dismissed after all troop equipment is unloaded and properly stored.
